Just got finished watching Pootie Tang for the first time.. It's kinda tedious updating now that i think about it.. Blogger doesn't have a solid way of keeping me connected with other artists.. =\ And i forgot how to follow again.. What a pain.. Anyways!

Slapped this together while testing out my new intuos 4. A member on DeviantART messaged me yaoi blog saying someone was using it without my permission.. I couldn't even get passed the first page, i was like fuck it, they can have it LOL!

Well, around the last week of May, I got my laptop with all of my recent artbook work stolen.. which sucked, but in that time Alvin Lee hit me up to do some gigs with him, also becoming a better sketch artist than I thought I could be.. which's crazy.

Honestly feels like life kicked me in the balls, and jessica alba from idle hands came and kissed it away, LOL.. crazy!

Also have a few sketches and art i need to post. If you guys wanna hit me up on the regular, i'm on facebook. I'm on my phone damn-near constantly so just hit me up :)

Also, my buddy Jorge Farres was kind enough to color my crappy Soma, and made it insane!!! Overnight too!!

I forgot how to time sub zero's infinite in UMK3. I used to nail it on snes. but on ds i only got it twice! plus it's a little hard for me to block and run. switching my thumbs around to nail certain combos is a tad hard.. i'll adjust i guess.. yeah nothing art-related here... just akashi from boukenger. probably my all-time favorite character actually.

Next month i'm going with my friend Angie to a homeless shelter to teach. I'm kinda nervous, considering I haven't physically spoken to anyone about art so long. I have no art friends. :( And my gf doesn't get in-depth like i do. I hope i don't suck. I don't even know the age group yet. So i'm kind of unsure.. sigh. Drew Garuru form from Kiva. I'm missing out on some awesome artwork this very second. And i have a ton of bookmarks. Following would cut it down by at least 20. Multitasking like a mofo, w/ commissions artbook and life. I'm learning a little more about blogger and i think i know how to Follow blogs now. The artbook on the other hand.. I was wondering about prices, and how to make it reasonable in terms of production, shipping, quality, profit etc. And I want it to be cheap, but it seems shipping may be included (yuck). I'll try my best to keep the few of you who want it posted. And try my best as well. :) This's Natsuki and Sakura from Boukenger. Greeeeat show, both characters rocked it. Sakura's probably one of my favorite chars. of all time. I can't wait to finish this one, as you can tell from the early paint over. BLAAAARGH!

And with pretty good news. I was away for awhile, mainly doing paid work and being artistically deprived. But for some reason, today it's somewhat sinking in... like I AM an artist. it's so odd. Like, i feel the way i did in 06-07. Like this literally happened like an hour ago. Before i felt like i drew with my hand, not my heart. NOW i feel the way i should.. no idea how the hell it happened... maybe it's cuz it's not commissions for once? Oh yeah, if you guys want me to just load up finished work just let me know. I usually post unfinished work to gain criticism. No matter what skill level, you could draw like Rob Liefeld for all i care, LOL i don't mind.

besides just drawings and such, i was thinking of keeping the actual coils in my sketchbook to give it that.. i guess authenticity of a sketchbook? but then again, how am i going to transition to my finished pieces. i was also thinking of content, like, maybe doing some requests. i mean, i have plenty of inspiration, like childhood tv shows, games and tokusatsu or OCs, but i'd like to have a few curveballs here and there. just a few.

What's odd is, i feel like i'm distancing myself from digital and just doing line work just for the traditional feel. i really enjoy it now. still dodging landscapes though. :(

I got down Kiva's helmet!!! jk. Got back from my anniversary getaway, and man was that fun. Only stef hates when I draw, and does absolutely everything in her power to keep me from doing so. On top of that, I did the math and STILL have 4 melee chars, 2 wicked chars, 1 star wars sketch/color and 1 separate color, 3 warrior chicks drawn/colored, 3 MORE people drawn/almost done, and somehow i still manage to study landscapes and gather new work for portfolio and sketchbook... sigh. with that said here's a commission roughly done.

My ram turned out to be incompatible to my tablet pc, which sucks i gotta send it back. Waiting for my SF Artworks book to come in, and I'm cracking down on commissions since I'm done with panels. Trying to get my tones down, but I just don't seem to understand it. It seems tones are all about relativity, but I don't know what tones work with what and how, why etc... it's weird.

I've been having a really hard time lately with my current situation.. here's the deal:

i'm in a serious relationship, and getting my portfolio together i'm thinking.. man! this's it, once i get down these things, and show udon i'm soooo gonna be ready to work professionally! and here it is, i'm possibly jeopardizing another great piece in my life. cuz i'm sooooo happy when i'm with stef, but the thing is, i want to pursue my art full-time! i mean, not saying that she's not willing to wait for me, but i know these long-distance things dont work very well. and i'm terrible with conversations over-the-phone.

i was testing out cs3 and thought, hey it would be cool if i posted a quick sketch vid.. with music and all.. but the laptop said the resolution didnt support it or something... so i thought of the problems, and remembered that i had to install another driver that was missing. turned out it was the one for the monitor's display! now everything runs even smoother. so expect something in a bit. sigh valentines is coming too... don't know what i'm gonna get stef..

got jade-starrz's laptop.. but once i click the log on, it's like windows isn't activated, you must activate it. then this blue screen says, windows is activated, then it goes back to the login menu, where it is again, a repeated loophole.

played hd today and was goin at it with this guy AirUNIT. and you know.... i was having fun, then he kinda go to me in some of the matches. one he particularly raped my sagat and boxer. so i picked dictator and ruined his day. final score 29 to 10, me.

he ate air strongs all day.

I've been looking at nJoo's work lately and man, i had THEE WORST craving to do digital again. i remember trying thiss waaaay back about a year ago, and no dice. hated everything, the feel, general composition and whatnot. but njoo makes it look right. so thats where i got it from. I've done all the commissions + in the last 2 days. I asked for an extension mainly for the contest, but ended up dealing with a lot of holiday stuff also. Aaaand about the contest... I saved the psd wrong and the file size came up like 720 by like 300 or some weird shit. It ended up not being in at all which sucked. Oh well... better luck next time. I did this raph last night. Painted and drawn, I thought of the vid, and Jon when I did it. Rushed the painting though. and the line weight is quite noobish.
